T-2 and Softergee finalists at the Red Hat Digital Leaders Awards, powered by IDC
At the Red Hat Digital Leaders Awards, held with Intel and powered by IDC, intended to celebrate the success and best practices of Red Hat customers, T-2 and Softergee were together nominated as finalists among competitors such as Riyad Bank and Turkcell in the CEMEA region.
All together, more than 120 companies from Europe were nominated in the four categories pen transformation, cloud native, automation, and hybrid cloud. 40 of them were shortlisted, and in each category 3 finalists were in place.
At the event held online, Philip Carter, group VP, European Chief Analyst and WW C-Suite Tech Research Lead at IDC, has emphasized that the global economy is crossing the digital rubicon by predicting that in 2021, the digital economy will overtake the traditional (physical) economy and there is no turning back. In the year 2022, as predicted by IDC, 65% of global GDP will be digitalized – and this is why the innovation in this segment plays such an important role. “It’s either digital or die,” he pointed out in his presentation. He also emphasized that the IDC research shows that in 2022, organizations across EMEA will invest $450 billion in digital transformation initiatives, but only 26% of these genera ROI from those investments – so the digital ROI gap is something to bridge.
