Softergee helps T-2 build modern cloud infrastructure platform for Slovenian businesses
Softergee is proud to announce the go-live of a modern, automated, virtualized, multisite, container, edge computing, IoT, AI, ML ready infrastructure platform deployed at the T-2 internet and mobile IT infrastructure provider – as first in the region. Softergee has provided consultancy, engineering and training services to the excellent team at T-2.
The solution includes the Red Hat OpenStack Platform for mass virtualization of system resources, Red Hat Ceph Storage for open, massive data storage for modern workflows, Red Hat OpenShift platform for microservice application containers, with RH Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes and RH Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes.
Modern anything-as-a-service solution
T-2, one of Slovenia’s largest telecommunications providers, sought to respond to market demand for as-a-Service offerings that support rapid, on-demand development and scalability. Now, T-2 can take advantage of new revenue opportunities and serve as a pioneer for hybrid cloud and intelligent device adoption across the region.
They are the first in Slovenia to build a modern infrastructure platform for mass virtualization and microservices, with massive-scale storage technology (all provided by Red Hat) intended for enterprises, governmental sector and local communities, as well as startup companies, that need flexible, adaptable, modern, and rapidly scalable solutions with edge computing capabilities.
The T-2 company is a growing regional provider of modern cloud infrastructure for enterprise, public sector ogranizations, governmental agencies, energy, finance and insurance companies, as well as young and rising startup companies. Their new platform also accommodates municipal governance for their regional and innovative local projects.
The platform that can be utilised for XaaS (Software, Platform, or Infrastructure as a service) is optimized for microservices, for applications with heavy API utilization, internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) tech, and is readily set-up for building a new generation of applications with the edge computing paradigm in mind and providing massive-scale storage capabilities.
